We set out on  our Maiden Health and Wellness Walking Programme on 12 September. As CEO Aziza Amod promised – not only will Premier Fishing be creating a happy work environment but a healthy one too!

See the photographs taken at the first Walkies some of us set out on. We all wish to see a lot more at the future walks!

“Women should be celebrated every day…It doesn’t just honour the iconic women who have changed history but encourages new generations to dream big and know that anything is possible.”

– Molly McCook

On Women’s Day, the Group’s ladies were treated to a special afternoon being serenaded by Ekraam Capido, followed by an interesting workshop by WS Perfumes on the art of making perfume.

Mandela Day, Premier Fishing supported Ladles of Love.

18 July, now infamously known as Mandela Day, Premier Fishing supported Ladles of Love, an NGO with the by-line “one day, one goal, one love”. Premier Fishing volunteers participated joyfully by making peanut butter sandwiches – Rhodes sponsored the filling, while Blue Ribbon sponsored the bread. CEO of Premier Fishing, Aziza Amod, and her team said they thoroughly enjoyed their 67 minutes of spreading bread with love, jam, and peanut butter.

On Tuesday 21 July, Premier Fishing welcomed Rights Holders to our factory in Hout Bay.

Approximately 100 people attended, including colleagues from the Head Office and other Premier Fishing centres.

Pictured above standing, Shaun Solomons welcomed the Rights’ Holders, some of whom have been with Premier

for more than 40 years.

The objective of the meeting was to:

  • Develop a multi-species partnership between Rights Holders and Premier Fishing;
  • Premier is offering a meaningful, long-lasting business opportunity and value to local fishing communities; and
  • Premier Fishing supports the development and realisation of the Small-Scale sector too.
